For each initial account, you will want to decide if you want these users to have more privileged access:

  • View Invoices:
This allows the user to view and pay any invoices that ByDesign has generated through a built-in invoice portal. The user responsible for paying invoices should have this access right activated.
  • Authorized Contact:
This allows the user to contact ByDesign and request changes to the software (configuration), along with initiate and approve billable customizations. In an effort to ensure that unauthorized users are not allowed to make requests that could compromise your system and/or generate billable work that you did not authorize, our Client Support team will not be able to communicate with anyone who is not an Authorized User.

The following communications are set up by default for all of your initial user accounts and you can always adjust these communications in the future:

  • Newsletters:
We send a monthly newsletter that includes: release notes on latest changes being released, tips from our support team on how to get the most out of the system, along with overall market and product direction updates.
  • Server Maintenance:
We occasionally need to perform server maintenance and upgrades during low traffic periods of time (e.g.: early morning) and will notify these users of the upcoming maintenance window.
  • Support Status Reports:
We can automatically send a personalized Support Status Report that contains all of your open support requests, latest status updates, along with quick links to contact the owning Client Support agent. For users that will be submitting support requests, it’s important they receive the Support Status Report to stay looped in on open support requests.
  • New Work Status Reports:
We can automatically send a personalized New Work Status that contains all customization projects, along with latest status updates and quick links to the owning Product Specialist.
